Protect. Inspire. Flourish
the nurture nursery
about us
The Nurture Nursery is a family run children’s nursery in Bathgate, West Lothian. We are based on Mid Street within easy walking distance to the train station and the town centre. We are in Partnership with the council and therefore offer funded places.
With spaces for up to 44 children aged between 3 months and 8 years we are a relatively small nursery which enables us to form strong links with our families and especially our children attending the nursery.
We have fully qualified nursery staff and operate a key worker system.
Our most recent care inspectorate report can be found on the care inspectorate website.
From this inspection we were graded as:
How good is our care, play and learning?: 5 - Very Good
How good is our setting?: 5 - Very Good
How good is our leadership?: 5 - Very Good
How good is our staff team?: 5 - Very Good

Our Ethos
At The Nurture Nursery we believe that early childhood is a unique and critical time for learning and social development. We facilitate attachment led practice as we believe secure attachments to our staff will enable better learning and development. We pride ourselves in offering as much outdoor play time as possible and as such have developed an outdoor classroom to provide shelter. We also run an intergenerational project working with Older People Active Lives (OPAL group).
